clean-air-in-dortmundSTORK Oberflächentechnik - Einzigartige Abluftreinigungsanlage

We are the first company in the world to utilise an innovative process combination which serves to keep the air in Dortmund clean. This results in excellent environmental protection and decisive competitive advantages.

Each spray painting and coating process creates substances which cause air contamination. The legislator demands that these gases which are referred to as ’volatile organic compounds’ or ’VOC’ are subsequently treated before they are released into the environment.

We have opted for a highly modern thermal pollutant treatment plant in order to achieve this target. This enables a successful perfect combination of environmental protection and efficiency. With this, we are reacting to law amendments, which stipulate that a large number of spray painting and coating companies which do not use a corresponding waste air purification plants will only be permitted to release a relatively small quantity of VOCs on an annual basis.
The production has to come to a halt as soon as the limit has been reached.

The intelligent design of the new plant enables us to already act in accordance with all of the legal provisions today but we are also in a good position to react to any additional stricter rules which might apply in the future. This is made possible by a special design from the consultant engineer company Rafflenbeul, which focuses on the most modern technology.
So-called molecular screen buffers and concentrators filter the pollutants out of the waste air from the production halls and subject these to thermal treatment in the closed system.

The VOCs which occur in our halls and
spray painting booths are evacuated and
subjected to thermal treatment.

The waste air purification plant is
connected to all of the production sites
by means of pipelines.
